NHV Corporation(hereinafter referred to as “the company”) shall comply with laws and regulations, guidelines established by the national government, and other codes regarding the handling of personal information to ensure proper handling of the personal information obtained by the company (hereinafter referred to as “personal information”).
Definition of "Personal Information"
"Personal Information" is deemed to refer to any and all information by which a person can be identified. Personal Information shall include someone's name, age, birthdate, telephone number, e-mail address, postal address, place of work, and other specific information, and it shall thus mean any information that can identify any particular person through a single piece of data or a combination thereof.
Obtaining Personal Information
Nissin shall obtain Personal Information through appropriate means, and shall have officially preannounced the purpose of use or notified to each person of Personal Information of that purpose at the time of receipt.
Purpose of utilization of personal information
The company shall acquire personal information for the following purposes of utilization.
1. | To provide information and contact applicants in recruitment activities and solicitation of other applications | ||
2. | To execute business related to personnel management | ||
3. | To offer information about products and services, etc. | ||
4. | To deal with customers and suppliers

5. | To handle paperwork, etc. properly and smoothly | ||
6. | Other purposes of utilization that are separately notified or publicly announced |
When the company utilizes personal information for a purpose other than those indicated above, the company shall expressly show such purpose of utilization in advance when it acquires the personal information unless the following exceptions (hereinafter referred to as “the exceptions”) apply.
1. | Cases in which the handling of personal information is based on laws and regulations |
2. | Cases in which the handling of personal information is necessary for the protection of the life, body, or property of an individual and in which it is difficult to obtain the consent of the person |
3. | Cases in which the handling of personal information is specially necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound growth of children and in which it is difficult to obtain the consent of the person |
4. | Cases in which the handling of personal information is necessary for cooperating with a state organ, a local government, or an individual or a business operator entrusted by either of the former two in executing the affairs prescribed by laws and regulations and in which obtaining the consent of the person is likely to impede the execution of the affairs concerned laws and regulations |
Changes in the purpose of utilization of personal information
If the company changes the purpose of utilization after proper acquisition of personal information and utilizes such personal information, the company shall publicly announce such changes or notify the person of such changes.
Disclosure of personal information to third parties
Unless the exceptions apply, the company shall not disclose personal information obtained without the consent of the person to any third party (except for the company’s subsidiaries and dealers in Japan as set forth in the following section).
Joint utilization of personal information between the NHV Corporation and dealers
The personal information of customers obtained by the company shall be jointly utilized by the parent company, subsidiaries and dealers (in charge of sales and aftersales service, etc.) in Japan that have concluded a confidentiality agreement.
In this case, the company shall prevent leakage of personal information from those who jointly utilize the personal information by making special arrangements in concluding a confidentiality agreement, etc.

Measures to ensure security control of personal information
The company shall endeavor to implement appropriate measures to ensure security control of the acquired personal information to prevent leakage, loss, damage, unauthorized computer access, etc. to personal information.
Compliance with laws, regulations, and other codes
The company shall comply with the Japanese laws, regulations, and codes related to protection of personal information and shall review and improve the content of the policy as appropriate.
